anyone has the sc430 in red?
I am considering buying an SC430. I believe it is available in Red.
Everyone tells me to avoid red, since it statistically increases your chance of speeding tickets and pull-overs by cops. The car itself attracts enough of its own attention. Just curious if any of you who bought this car in red, are getting more speeding tickets or getting pulled-over more than your previous cars.

I have it in red. To answer your question, 2 tickets in a month. Haven't had a ticket in 4 years driving my GS400. I had a black one a white one and a cinabrar GS400. In other words the stories about red cars seem to be true.

red car and RED SC430
I got 1 ticket in the 6 months I've had my Red SC430... I got one ticket with my winter beater (a White Infiniti G20).... so I don't know that the red made all that much difference... BTW: I have a RED 911 that I've had for 8 years and NEVER got a ticket... I DO have a good radar detector in the Porsche and have NOT been using it in the SC430 or my winter car... I'd advise getting a good radar detector and go ahead and get the red one!!!

if i were you , i would purchase the red one, buy either a valentine one, or a passport 8000, or your other option is to not speed!!! (something my mother always used to tell me)

red attracts cops
Now up to 9500 miles on red 2002 SC430 purchased Spring 2001, stopped three times so far in NJ on Route 80, not really going very fast, maybe 75 in 65 zone, no tickets, explained each time car is 70th birthday present from my wife, but this will not hold up this summer if one of the same cops stops me again !!
Ran my little black Honda Del Sol VTEC for six years on Rt 80 back & forth from NYC 120 mile round trip driving 80-85 and was NEVER stopped.
Red sure attracts them. Also, to really avoid tickets, run a car the average trooper can afford to buy.
