I was wondering what other peoples "stealerships" charge for labor for work done on your car? Mine charges $108/hour OUCH.

California Lexus Dealer Labor Rate
I was going to say about $120. per hour, but I just called and they told me it was currently $142. per labor hour. They said a year ago, it was $132. per hour. The owner of this dealership also owns the near by Toyota dealership, but I would imagine, the shop rate there is less.
This dealer is the nearest to me and it is located in Santa Monica, California (West side of Los Angeles) However, they do give you a free Lexus RX loaner vehicle. But I recall, Enterprise Car Rental in the area, charges about $30. per day for compact cars at Jaguar and Cadillac dealers. So if you get out of the Lexus dealer for one hour labor, I guess that would mean their charge comes down to about $112. per hour at the very least.
I guess I will check around with the independent shops when it comes time for a 90K service.

My nearest dealer is located in Santa Monica, California and that is a few miles west of Beverly Hills. Take a look at their "virtual tour", the service counter is like the lobby of a five star hotel. Someone has to pay for this luxury environment. The last time I took my car in for a dead battery problem, they said a Lexus battery was over $200. but in the end, I did not need one, so they did not charge me anything even though I had a free RX to drive while my car was there. If I ever do have a big issue, it is comforting to have an aftermarket warranty when I go there.
