2007 Navigation Update (Version 7.1) - Anyone get it yet?
Anyone have the 2007 Navigation update yet for our SC (Version 7.1) released in the past month or so? GS forum users have posted that it gets rid of the "I Agree" button on the opening screen...but then again I believe they have a different generation.
Sewell is having a promotion where it's only $260, but if there's not that much of a difference for me, I might pass on it.

I believe this was asked a couple weeks ago. I have updated on my 2002. I don't see a huge change but some. A lot more additions around my area and a little more color on golf courses and water...
The "Agree" button is still there. I have gen 2/3. It didn't go away....darn it.
I got mine from Sewell for that price. I also purchased the clear sheet that goes over the nav window... not worth it...I took it back off.
Hope that helps..

I recently updated my version 1 to 7.1 There was a huge change for me as the car is now in Canada and the verison 1 in the car had USA maps only.
The city map guidance can be quite good, the highway is another matter.
On a recent 500 mile trip on roads that I know well the Nav system was
wildly innacurate, suggesting ridiculous routes that involved gravel farm roads
and long detours when a straight divided highway was available and obviously the best choice. No selection of "minimize distance", "minimize time" or "maximize freeways" options would change it. If I was travelling in an area
I didn't know I wouldn't trust it. Too bad as isn't that the point of it. No
replacement for good road maps and preplanning, I guess.

Lar and Tamblers--
Does the navigation override (allows you to input addresses/other features--menu, system option, upper left corner, lower left, upper left, lower left, lower right, "override drive") still work after you updated to 7.1? There are reports on the RX board that this is the case after users have upgraded to Version 7.1.

I just found out someone has imported a navigation hack module for LS460.
I know the same company also makes the navigation hack module for SC430, IS350... Maybe you guys can give it a try.

I've also just installed (tonight) version 7.1 from version 1.0 on '01 430. Will let you know what it's like as soon as I get to 'play' with it. Sure would like to know how to copy the disk so that I could use a back up in lieu of the original.

No.... the "Agree" button is still there...)-: At least it's there on the SC Gen2/3. I have read where some vehicles it goes away... Don't remember which one(s).
The installation is as easy... and quick... Even I did it..
