Default Tire Pressure Sensors - Repair Manual Procedure

2nd Question of the Day:

Does anyone have the Repair Manual procedure for properly installing the tire pressure sensors with a new fit kit when new tires are being put on the car. I'm having a tire reconditioning place repair my wheels and put on new tires. I'd like to give them all the procedures so that they can do it right, and that's the last piece I think I need. The TSB on Dismounting Tires with Pressure Sensors has a lot of good info, but refers to the repair manual for the step where the sensors are being reinstalled.

Thanks.

Robert

Default

you just stick it through the hole and tighten the nut on top with a wratchet. Make sure the rubber gasket is there and your set. Really easy dont need a manual for that just common sense

Default Sensor Fit Kit

Thanks for the reply.

The procedure for mounting also mentions using a 'new sensor fit kit'. I called my dealership and it sounds like this only costs $10, so not a big deal, but is it really necessary? I don't know what it contains, maybe rubber gaskets?
