here's a pic of my SC with the new wheel covers. I think they look SOOOO much better than the standard plates. And they were negotiated as part of me taking the car from the dealer.

Thanks to MarsB007 for a picture of the replacement wheel covers. It makes me wonder why Lexus did not go with this design to begin whith; if so they could have eliminated the 10 screws per wheel.

I am convinced to go ahead with replacing the original wheel covers with the new ones.

In case you guys haven't noticed, the grilles next to the fog lights channel air to the brakes; there's a plastic duct behind them, and you can see the outlet inside the wheel wells if you use a flashlight. So no, you don't have to worry about cooling the brakes.

I just purchased a set of the Star wheel cover on ebay for $150. I think they look much better than the Pie Plate. They seem to be made of the same material - plastic! The hex bolts are very easy to take off and put on and can be used for both covers. Torque is 30 Inch Lbs. Although I purchased the Star cover, I am selling the full set because I just purchased a set of HREs - 843R.

sc430 white/ecru 2004
the wheel covers look great on my car. huge improvement over the dish look. The only problem is they are plastic.... they feel cheap and i wouldnt chrome them. i cant wait to get my twenties. putman lexus of redwood city,ca sells them cheap.

Just as an aside, I've seen the new caps chromed -- not bad.
But agreed, they won't replace a good set of 20s.

If you are looking for SC430 Caps (5 Star and Original Disc) let me know. I am always getting a few new sets in every few weeks. They are all brand new with the allen bolts. As far as shipping goes, I use UPS Ground.
