Coming in Town...Where can i take the SC to the track!!
Hey everyone,
I'm coming back into town for Thanksgiving and told dad that i'm taking the turbo SC to the track to see what kind of numbers we can get in the 1/4.
Don't know the area too well but we live in Laguna Niguel,
1) Are any dragstrips gonna still be open?
2) were is the cloest one to where i live?
Let me know,
maybe we can even get a group together to go with each other!
Paul

hey Paul wasup this is Andrew, it was very nice to talk to you!! =) you ar super nice guy to talk to !
yeh i called XS and talked with Eric and we decided to go with custom intake(maybe blitz filter or K&N filter) + their custom piggy back ECU+ gound kit and he says that that will give me about 30HP and 20TQ which sounds great.
i checked with Irwindale speedway and seems like they only have 1/8 mile drag strip...
i will try to find out more for you soon again
later

You are in luck. The venerable Carlsbad raceway is about 45 minutes south of you. In Carlsbad, just North of San Diego.
This is a 1/4 mile track. They have safety equipment and concessions.
Take 5 south to Palomar airport road and head East. It will be on your left hand side, in the airport business park.
They usually run casual "run what you brung" grudge matches on the weekends. You will need a helmet, long shirt sleeves, and long pants.
Mostly stock, or modified cars, with occasional early times dragsters or motorcycles.
Other choices is street legal drags (1/8 mile) at Qualcom stadium, Pomona raceway (NHRA), Irwindale (1/8 mile) or Palmdale (1/4 mi) out in the desert. Think California speedway in Fontana has just opened their 1/4 mile strip.
Think you should find something out of one of these.
Less than $25 for the day.
Enjoy
