Firm transmission shifts in 2006 SC
I would like to replace the transmission fluid in my 2006 SC and do the mod to make shifting firm. I have read a few threads that post pictures of the pressure regulator dial in pre 06 to firm up shifting. One such thread is this. However, I have not come up with any for 06+ transmission. Can someone please confirm that this is possible in 06 and post a picture of the pressure regulator dial including it's location.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Bacardi: i will be doing that soon. Just need some guidance on where to look. I have a hunch that the dial is not in the same location as pre 06 models.
Does anyone have a repair manual for a 06+? Talwang posted a picture for a 2002-05....could use one for a 06+.
Thanks.

I'm thinking you could probably do it...

The gear train is basically the same as that of the five-speed automatic transmission (A750E). 60% of all components are common with the five-speed automatic transmission (A750E), and 95% of the parts use common processing machines.

Update
I found the transmission in 2006+ is A761E, a 6 speed floor shift. I did NOT see a pressure regulator valve dial on the DS. However, there is similar looking dial on the PS.....it is on the front side, towards the engine. Now what? Is the procedure same....can someone please confirm.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Cheers.

Interesting, thanks for the pics Options2k, when I did it on my 02 mine was not in the middle it was on the first notch. Maybe from factory your's is set a little stiffer, which would explain the middle setting. I did reset my ECU and after a week or so my mileage had improved considerably, did not feel the faster shifts but noticed that the transmission shifted faster by looking at the RPM.

On a different note, the fluid on my GX was quite dark when I changed it at about 103k miles. Made a huge difference in how smooth it shifted after the change (went over the fluid change 4 times). In contrast, the fluid still had a lot of red when I changed it in my SC at about 69k miles. Did not notice any significant "smoothness" in shifting.
Cheers.
