Default Side Marker Light Upgrade for $2.00

I read a lot of upgrades costing hundreds of dollars for the ugly side mark lights front and rear.
There is a great "youtube" video Properly Tint Tail Lights & Side Markers explaining how to do this, tried it last night, love it.
On my dark colored SC it looks great, on a light car color I might have used mirror tint,,your call.
There is a bunch of snow outside so I didn't roll the car onto drive, I apologize for the poor quality of the pics.

I blacked mine out a long time ago with self adhesive tint film (even easier than spray). Easy to apply, easy to remove. No damage. Problem is... some states don't allow black side markers. Oklahoma has no such law. Others do.

Can you link to what you used? I like the idea very much...

If you go to ebay and type "vinyl tint," there's a company called RTints that I used. They have different sizes, darkness levels (or VLT%), and different finishes (gloss vs matte). I recommend cutting an approx piece to cover the light, clean the marker with alcohol, then trim the excess using a hobby knife. Additionally, you can then use a heat gun for the edges but it's not necessary. If you want a true professional job you can completely remove the markers and cover them. I took this path. I would also recommend doing this mod in a garage or somewhere warm. Cold temp and vinyl are not the best combination.

...hey Shawn I used this kit also. I actually bought the taillight blackout kit for the Sc & if you're careful, there is enough excess tint from the templates that will allow you to do the side markers
