The factory sc430 wheel jack is stuck in its tray inside
the trunk.
Is there a trick to getting it out ?

I haven't looked at mine lately, but try turning the screw to as if you were lowering the jack. It will relieve the pressure holding it in the tray

That did it....thanks.
Don't think its ever been used. I turned the eyelet
bolt counter-clockwise and it loosened and came
out. Clockwise raises the jack, and its held in place
by a metal bracket on the top of the jack.

When you put it back, turn it to extend it a bit (after it's laying in the tray) as that keeps it from sliding back & forth and making little noises in your trunk. Directions for removing it & putting it back are in the manual and on a sticker in my trunk (2008).
