Exclamation Connect megaphone to battery on Sc430

this is my first time using this site so please help me out...

I have a megaphone that i installed a while ago but i connected it straight to the battery. I noticed that it was draining my battery so i had to disconnect it. Now i am trying to figure out how i should connect this megaphone to my car without it draining the battery, when i am not using it. I really appreciate all the help in advance. Thank you!

You should run it through a high-current relay, that's triggered by ignition power.

That way, it's only on when the car is running, but it's still connected directly to the battery for the high current draw that it requires.

Yea, what Habious said sounds about right. Megaphone, really? Now I can't get this image out of my mind.

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses!
Hit it....

It might be best if you take the car to a shop that installs aftermarket car alarms. These guys are ussually pretty good at figuring out how to wire up these types of items.
