Electronic service manual

Electronic service manual
I have the service manual on a CD and have used it for years. It opens in IE. Today when I tried to open it with IE 11 on Windows 7 it would not open. I tried two other computers with IE11. No luck. I then found one that had IE 9 on it and it opened immediately. Anybody else had this problem?
I was looking to see how to change the rear brake pads. The pads are original from the factory. The inner anti squeal spring was upside down from what the manual shows. I had a hell of a time changing the pads. The outer clip was very difficult to get off and back on. I thought it was supposed to be so easy on the rear. Anybody ever use the pads without the anti squeal springs at all?

The rear pads are a little tricky to change. I remember there are clips that you need to take off.
You need to pry up the clip to get the sliding rod off since the rod has a dent in the middle for the clip to fit in there.
