Default SC 430 trunk struts--

I am a new member and just wanted to Thank all of you who weighed in on how to replace the trunk struts--I recently (after 130 hours of searching) purchased a 2002 SC430 with only 12,000 miles on it--the trunk struts were shot and I ordered them as suggested thru ebay at cost of $38--my wife and I replaced them in 30 minutes following Bob's directions--the local Lexus dealer wanted over $500 to do the job--This is a Fantastic Site and I am very happy to be a member--Regards dg24

Welcome to CL. You will enjoy your SC430. Lots of reading, lots to learn about the SC.

The SC is so good, however it will also cause you to spend some $$ and it is just fine. Well worth it.

2002 with only 12,000 miles...I want to see it to believe it. How did you come about this gold find? Post pics when you can.

Thanks for all of the kind responses--I found the car after looking via Auto Trader and other on line sites for 130 hours--I live in St. Louis and the car was in New Ulm MN--my wife and I rented a car and drove about 1500 miles round trip to bring it back home--What a Fantastic time--the original owner had not driven it much only 12040 miles were on it with the original run flat tires--the tires made the trip back to St Louis but it was s a pretty rough ride--after a lot of investigation I replaced the tires with Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus--these tires have been Great the ride is like a sedan and I bought lifetime alignment--my local Firestone dealer has one of the best alignment guys around who does the alignment for all of the Corvette car clubs in the area--next project is what to do about a spare tire--I have the spare tire kit installed in the car but need to find a spare that will work--I have AAA and a couple of cans of Fix a Flat for now--I will get some pictures up as soon as the snow melts--
Quick Question?--do the headlight washers spray whenever you use the windshield wiper sprayer--if so is there a way to disengage the headlight sprayer--All for now--Thanks again
