No light on climate display at night

We do all sorts of Lexus stuff. I haven't heard of much going wrong with SC430 parts, but lighting is usually a common problem.
We also do a lot of custom LED work.

I have been told when removing the computer display by pulling and wiggle it this stress can possible disturb or make useless the backlight. Friend of mine had to remove his computer display to gain access to the radio so he could install the harness for a sirius radio install. After he re- assembled everything the back light was out.
Does the entire climate control have to be replaced, or is the back light separate?

I'm going from memory but I believe there is another adjustment to try. Have car in park, ignition on, move the headlamp switch to 'parking lights' and adjust the **** on the dash. It should change brightness of either climate controls or stereo. Moving the headlamp switch to 'headlights' and adjusting should change the other. May not be the issue but I remember you can turn the background lighting completely off and is an easy try.
The ONLY issue is the climate control, radio and nav work normal.
SOO much easier to check at night .
Ignition on, car in park:
Lights off: Climate control lights up
Parking lights on: Climate control goes black.
Parking light on, adjusting **** dash and radio dim/brighten, but NOT the climate until it clicks (full right) then the climate comes back on.

Fixed
20 months later, and it's fixed. FREE.
And this thread I posted months later is also fixed
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...hermistor.html
A month or so before I posted about the climate control lights, I removed the climate control and the radio to hook up an XM radio. Well the middle plug was not clicked in all the way. So over 2 months it worked it's way out enough to break the connection for the lights on the CC. And another 18 months for it to move enough for the AC to stop working.
I "diagnosed" this while installing a new XM radio.

He plugged the middle plug back in. So you'll need to take the unit out and reseat all the connectors, just to make sure. But mainly the middle one according to Twisted99.
