Schaeffer Supreme 7000 Synthetic Oil
Does anyone use this in their crankcase? I saw an impressive demonstration at my local shop and decided to go with over the Mobil 1. Just wondering if there any other drivers who may be using it

I've been using wal-mart supertec 5w-30 in my SC400 for 300K+ plus miles. I recently used a fiber optic borescope with a right angle mirror to look at the cylinders and pistons when I changed my spark plugs at 300K miles.
I was stunned to see the original cross hatches from the factory honing all still clearly visible. All 8 cylinders still read 174 to 175 psi. All within 1 psi of each other.
I used to be an avid mobile 1 oil guy but then I educated myself with the facts and peer reviewed published studies. There are benefits to using synthetic but most street cars will never realize those benefits and in many cases, synthetic oil can do more harm than good.
Yes, if you're running a very high output highly modified turbo engine, I'd still use synthetic, but that's about the only case.

Oil isn't cheap anymore. SuperTec is still the cheapest motor oil you can buy that has all of the most important certifications. If you can point out something cheaper and just as good, please do.
