Default 2010 vs 2002 SC 430-decision made

I've had my 02 SC since June '08. Bought with 23k miles with a 3rd party warranty (my credit union), it now has 37k miles and 3 years left on that great warranty. The warranty has paid over 3k for mostly radio problems. It now has luxlink (since '08), redyed leather, 06 tails, rear camera , nav tool, etc.

And yet, I want so bad to have the 2010. Up comes one for sale in Tucson (400 miles away) in my color-another white but with camel instead of my ecru. A decent price of $53k and only 8800 miles had me going for a few days.

The deal is $930/mo until my 02 sells at between $20-25k and then redo the loan to $530//mo--as compared to the zero a month I have paid for 4 years now. For a car that looks like the one that's in my garage right now. And for what--an iPod connection and cool dash lites?? And knowing I have the last year of the sc instead of the first.

My answer came in the form of a phone call from my sound shop!

A new pioneer avic z 140 bh--audio and nav doors will work but not the steering wheel controls.
The list goes like this-Bluetooth--nav--iPod--traffic--touchscreen with voice control--pandora &aha radi--traffic tuner--hd radio--app radio for iPhone with control of contacts and calendar--xm radio--rear camera. $2k installed

No contest-- my 02 wins! I'm more excited than buying the 2010! The install is a week from sat.

John

awesome choice my car in the shop right now getting the wald style kit installed...all said and done its probably gonna run me about 3500 for the kit, painting, modification work, and preping of the front and rear bumpers (they said if they just paint he lip and put it on the bumpers it will stand out). I trust the shop they have done work on my Rx300 and IS250 and they do great work. Oh they will also be wet sanding out my pin stripes! Once I get the car back I am putting 18x8.5s up front on 255/40/18 tires and removing the front spacers. At that point I think ill be happy for at least a year

John, I'm looking forward to the results you get with the stereo replacement. Please be sure to post pictures and diagrams when you get her back!

why would even think of getting a 2010. you have a 2002 very nice car pay for or what ever. for what the different is for, headlights and tailights is that worth 40,000 to you. for 3600.00 you car get Mike at Clear Corners to make you headlights, tailights marker lights front and back and the car will look real sharp as hell, believe me i know i have them. the 06+ can.t come no were even close. even if you 5000.00 on your car it better the price of a 2010. money is better in your pocket.
