LED tail lights?

The direct answer to your question is no, have not tried them. The bulb design raises some questions with me.
1. It's "fold-up" design is unique, and used to get it inside of the sealed lens housing, but how do you get it out once the petals are re-deployed? Seems to me the design and back side LEDs may present some issues.
2. After market LED's are typically not as bright as OEM versions, (usually inferior sized / type LEDs) what is their return policy?
3. Our SC's have a dashboard indicator to let you know if a taillight bulb has gone out (determined by change in voltage). Does their bulb account for the voltage change (LED uses less than incandescent) thus causing the bulb out indicator light to activate on the instrument panel?
FYI Those of us who have 02-05 SCs and have upgraded to the 06+ LED taillamps have gone mainly with the OEM version. Some have opted out of the OEM LAMP ECU and have handled the taillight out indicator on the dashboard with a piece of black tape, others spent the extra dollars for the ECU.
