sc430 rear seat belt removal assistance
I am redoing all my leather ecru interior with the products suggested in previoius threads. I have removed the rear back seats (bottom and back) without a problem. I also purchased new rear seat belts. Do I have to remove the whole back panel that is in the trunk to gain access to the top piece of the seat belt (spring loaded piece)??
I already can see them since I did remove the top black piece and small carpeted section. It looks like I could just keep removing a bunch of pieces in the truck to get the last panel off....it appears that I have to remove the retractable screen in the trunk to get the panel off to be able to get a socket wrench in there to remove the seat belts. Let me know if this is correct or what I have to do. Thanks....
PS. the paint job on the rear bottom seat looks great.

Your almost there....take a look at this PDF and it should clarify what you need to do to get it... You've already removed the headrests and seat backs so you're most of the way there. Now you have to do the seat back board and then, as you suspected go in the trunk too.
BTW welcome to the forum...You'll have post some pics once your done!

thanks for the seat belt assistance
Thanks for the diagram. I was forced to remove the truck floor carpet panel as well. I just could not get the front trunk panel off without taking all the fasteners out of the floor panel. I am now working on replacing the seat belts / painting all the interior / cleaning the stereo speaker covers, etc.
The forum has been a big help for all of the above. I am moving on to the front seats and seat belts as well. The thread on sanding the seats/ prep for painting has been a great help. I will take a photo when I am finally finished. The car should look like new!
Once again, thanks for the assistance.
