Folks,

I am wondering how low your gas has to be before you get the low fuel warning. I recently had the tank at almost empty (my dash said I had 20 miles left) and the low fuel warning still was not illuminated.

I looked in the manual but it did not mention how low your gas has to be before you get the warning.

Mine low fuel light comes on when the trip computer shows 15 miles to empty. Also, the trip computer counts down 3, 2, 1, then shows "Low Fuel". After that, you're on your own. I've driven 15-20 miles after it shown "Low Fuel". I don't recommend that but, it's come up before. Even at that, the gas pump showed that I put less than the tank's capacity of fuel in it.

My low fuel indicator comes on when it says 19 miles left on the computer. Never have taken it past there.

I would not suggest waiting for the low fuel light to fill the tank, it not healthy for the engine.
