Help!! Vais sls and iPod
I need help! Cannot get sat3 to work as an aux. Does anyone know how to change the Sirius sat3 to aux. I tried the instructions but it shows a nav screen as an example, which ours doesn't use.

Nevermind guys! It's working, just took trying a bunch of times. iPhone is working thru the aux. iPod and even pandora sounds good! This is great to have decent tunes and not limited to CDs.

I bought the harness from VAIS for a 2002 SC430---AND IT DIDN'T WORK AND THEY WOULDN'T GIVE A REFUND! The sound from the iPod would sometimes comes through Aux1, sometimes Aux 2, and sometimes nowhere, and it wasn't predictable. VAIS is a LOUSY COMPANY.

Had installer put SLU in 2004 with iSimple cable to charge the iPhone. Also has a 3.5 aux input. Sounds great and had no problems.
Installer put cables in glove box which worked well for me.

Are you sure you set it to the right emulation? You need to set it to CD / MD changer mode. It toggles through the CD button. Should work in your car.

I've installed an SLU in my car, an SLi2 in a friend's car, and the Sirius module (not sure of the designator on that one). The installations have all gone very smooth, the instructions very specific and, when I've been in contact with VAIS for technical support or customer service questions, they've always been very responsive and excellent to work with.
One thing that's somewhat annoying with the SLU (and I think this is a limitation with the 02-04 head units) is that, while it has 2 Aux inputs, the display always just reads "AUX". There's no way to tell if you're on Aux 1 or Aux 2, other than thinking "Well, I'm plugged into Aux 1, the screen says "AUX", but I don't hear anything...I guess I'm on Aux 2."
When that happens, you just press the FM button a couple (3?) more times until it says "AUX" again - then you're on the OTHER Aux input.
Or, if you're only using one Aux input, do what I did...buy a couple of Y-adapters from Radio Shack. Y the 2 "lefts" together and the 2 "rights" together. That way, if it says "AUX", it works. Period.
