Droplets of water inside after car wash!!!
So, after i took my car at the carwash i noticed droplets of water inside the roof, and on the back seat, driver's side right on top where the door meet the rear quarter panel. Looks like the seals are not holding much anymore.
At this point my car is seven years old, even though it looks like new i'm sure, rubber seals deteriorate with time.
Anyone has any experience replacing the roof seals..(meaning rubber)?? What are the costs associated with this procedure?

I had the main 'mono seal' replaced last year on my 2002 with 29k on it... I still had some wind noise (chief complaint) and less water drops but I fixed both by not going to car wash anymore and washing it by hand and turning up the stereo to get rid of the wind noise!
I've had 14 convertibles in my life and it seems they all shed a tear from time to time after a car wash and certainly all have some type of wind noise at one time or another.
If it's really bad... You may want to consider the seal. It's $600+ installed at dealer. Mine was covered under my Lexus ESP.
Does it leak when it rains or hand wash?

I had a water leak problem with my 04 SC last year (search the forum for the entire story). In short, I first noticed it was wet in the trunk and it took a few trips to the dealer trying different things like clearing drainage holes etc. Finally they replaced trunk seals (under extended warranty) and all seemed good. Then this winter I had condensation inside my windows. Turned out the floor in the back was wet and Lexus leak specialist who works through the dealer finally found leak and fixed by replacing all seals around back and roof of car - but leaks can be difficult to diagnose and fix and it took them awhile to find and fix. That was several months ago and so far so good.
My car is not garage kept however I am getting a garage put on my house this summer. Dealer said seals wear out esp. if not garage kept. He said that this is not totally uncommon with the SC, however many SCs are probably garage kept so either seals don't wear out as quickly or cars are just not out in the rain like non-garage kept cars.
I must say that this has been a major headache - one I didn't expect with a car like this. If I didn't like the car so much it might be gone by now but it is the 04 PB and I love everything about the car (except the leak!) esp. the unique color combo (light blue with ecru and black wood). It is my first convertible and I never realized how wonderful top down driving could be!!
The other positive was the dealer - Larry and team at Lexus of Rockville in MD. He worked with me and made sure the proper specialists worked on the car and that it was tested over several days before determining it was fixed. Highly recommend them to locals.
