How have you dealt with the problem of covering up the tire pressure sensor indicator light? Removing the bulb is not an option as they have to remove dash for that, and that would cost over $200. Found any good "spots" to cover it with? Black tape is a little tacky so I'm still looking...

Mine only comes on once in a while so I dont know whats up with that....but if it were on I'm sure I would take the dash apart. I did in my old car with regards to the trac flashing on and off.

What my buddy did on his SC430 was use Limo Tint to cover up the light on the dash.. Seems to work fine and isn't as annoying as having that warning light stare at you.. My Lexus dealership seems to think there will be a fix to this annoying little problem soon.. When I hear anything i'll be sure to post..

RUN FLAT LIGHT AND BEEP SENSOR FIX
REGARDING THE LIGHT ON THE DASH. IT IS ACTUALLY QUITE SIMPLE TO REMOVE THE DASH. IT'S JUST THE FRONT ROUND GAGE COVER SECTION THAT COMES OFF. USING A FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER PLACE IT BETWEEN THE HARD PLASTIC THAT SURROUNDS THE GAGE COVER AND SOFT VINYL APPLY A LITTLE PREASURE AND IT EASILY POPS OFF. DO THE SAME TO THE OTHER SIDE. (5 SECONDS) UNSCREW THE GAGE FROM THE BACK AND APPLY A PIECE OF BLACK TAPE OVER THE WARNING LIGHT FROM THE BACK. IT TAKES ABOUT 5-10 MINS.
REGARDING THE BEEP: DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!! UNDER THE DASH BOARD NEAR THE STEERING COLUMN THERE IS A TWO PRONG BLACK CONNECTOR WITH A PURPLE WIRE AND A RED WIRE JUST TO THE LEFT OF THE COLUMN. SIMPLY DISCONNECT AND NO MORE BEEP. IT ONLY AFFECTS THE BEEPING SENSOR FOR THE RUN FLAT. TADA. LEX LUGAR

It's not the tire that's the problem. It's the wheel. Some are not sensor compatible - that is, the sensor cannot be installed with the after market wheel.

DUHHH!
Thanks. I shouldda caught that with the title of the thread, but I still sometimes forget that wheels are rims and not tires.
So, if I get different tires and keep the factory wheels, I can still use the sensors and shouldn't have any annoying dash lights.
Thanks again.

Thanks Lex Lugar!!! YOU R THE MAN!!
Thanks so much for the fix on unplugging the tire pressure sensor chime!!!
I replaced my stock wheels with Lowenharts and after 2 failed attempts to rig the sensors onto the wheels by the installer, I had the sensors removed (they weren't compatible). Of course the warning light and sound began flashing every 3 minutes....SO ANNOYING. I went to Lexus and was told "we can't disconnect the warning light or sensor because it is a safety issue, bla bla bla..."
After reading your post, I looked under the dash and voila"""""" There it is, a tiny black plug attached to an annoying sensor.
Unplugged it, and im in HEAVEN.
p.s. this is my first post ever so i hope i did this right.
Thanks again,
