So the bumper to bumper warranty doesn't cover it?
You can get 02-05 one if you don't want to spent that much.
I believe 02-05 costs you probably under $60 for the whole thing.
And get the aftermarket 168/194 led bulbs instead, so the light output will look similar and close.
License lamp Right 02-05 $15.34
License lamp Left 02-05 $19.97
Socket and wire 02-05 $17.16
Bulb Back 02-05 $0.54

2006 LED License Plate Light Repair
The cost of the replacement LED license plate lights for the 06+ is now over $180 on the Sewell site. Screw that! It took me a couple hours and some elbow grease, but I modified the two housings to accept cheapo LED wedge bulbs. Had to use 3 pigtails total with an incandescent wedge bulb in one to make the LEDs light up. About 3 bucks worth of ebay bulbs and pigtails combined with a couple hours of my time with a hacksaw, Gerber multi-tool and some JB Weld and BOOM! . . . . LED license plate light repair.

Nope
Go back to the first page of this thread and you'll learn that our cars are different. The 2006 and newer models do not have replaceable bulbs. Each housing is a sealed unit with a LED bulb on a circuit board. I sure wouldn't have gone to the trouble I did if I could have simply replaced the bulbs.
Due to my modification of the stock bulb housings, I now have the ability to install either incandescent or LED bulbs.

How to pigtail?
Do you happen to have led part numbers to do this led replacement?
Also where does the incandescent bulb go?
Did you splice some of the wires to include the incandescent bulb? Any help appreciated.

I'm in exactly the same situation as you. Have been looking at StillLine's post and looking at the wiring on my SC430 and decided it looks too compliacted for me to do, so I have just today ordered the new light assembly from my dealer. $206 CAD plus tax. I should be able to replace without getting the dealership to do it for me but it's still a pain in the pocket just for licence plate bulbs!

I don't remember.

Confirmed
I was in this exact situation with my 06. I ordered the parts below and hooked it up. Works great.
License lamp Right 02-05 $15.34
License lamp Left 02-05 $19.97
Socket and wire 02-05 $17.16
Bulb Back 02-05 $0.54
I used the stock bulbs just to ensure it worked. I will be ordering the 168 LED lights from IJDMJOY to make them brighter, but this does work.

You should try to log in more often because people will usually answer your questions...if you wait a week, you cannot find the answer because it get buried and then you ask questions in unrelated threads.
This thread is about light bulbs!
I posted eBay links to replace your carpet when you asked about it...you need everything in the trunk because you left everything at the shop.
Do you want the parts diagram for an insurance claim?
You can always ask the Lexus parts person for a diagram, they will print, no charge.
here is the link to the thread where I previously gave you the answers about parts.
Note how some have part numbers, if you google them, parts diagrams will show up.
