Potenza RE960AS rated higher then Pilot Sport A/S or ContiExtremeContact????
According to tire rack (and maybe that's the problem), the Potenza RE960AS Pole Position rated higher than the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S or the ContiExtremeContacts, but no one ever mentions these tires.
What's up with that? Most people seem to have gone to the Contenentals or Michelins and no coments on the Potenza RE960AS which are rated higher. Is there something I'm missing?

My bad -- I should have been clearer. I'm talking about that tire with the SC430, not a general inquiry about the tire. I did a search and it seems like everyone in this forum has the Continentals or the Michelins. I was thinking there was probably a reason why SC430 owners bypassed the Potenza despite it allegedly rating higher.

I can assure you that some of us here are running tires other than Michelin.
My tires usually last less than 10K miles because my good driving habit.
I used Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 before and I loved them only in the first 5k miles. Very good grip, but quite noisy after 6k miles plus the thread life is very short. imho. I had to dispose them before 7.5k miles.
If you drive like grannies, I think it is a waste of money buying PS2 tires. haha
I am running Falken right now and I think they are fine. The price is a lot cheaper and the thread life is good. I think these will last close to 10k miles for me.
I'll try BridgeStone Potenza RE960AS next time.
The avg customer review for these tires seems very good.
And the price is actually close to that of Falken. so why not?
