That's a trick question, right?

The answer is "yes."

Do a search in this forum on "run flats" and you will get about a thousand pages answering your question.

I may be one of the few people on this forum who replaced with new runflats and am pro-runflat. I'm a physician and have to say how pleased I was that I could continue to drive and not deal wirh a flat tire when it happened to me not that long ago. Yes, this is a big deal to me. I replaced the originals with Bridgestone RE050's at tirerack after 25K miles and I'm very pleased with the improvement. I couldn't imagine having to go back and carry a spare. I guess I'm just used to the ride by now. circa 33K miles 2004 dark green/saddle sc430

Question, all of you who changed out the runflats, did you guys buy the Spare Tire "Kit" that you put in the trunk?

I did not buy the "kit," but only the wheel and rim.

The rest of the kit is window dressing to make everything match the carpet in the trunk. I just fabricated my own, and I cover the tire itself with a $25.00 plain black cover readily available from anyplace. This covers the tire itself and lets you handle it, and the flat one, without too much mess.

In town, I just rely on luck, a cell phone and AAA, and I use the spare for road trips when the top is up anyway and a flat out in the middle of east nowhere would be a major hassle, even with a runflat (50 miles max, and very hard to find a shop to replace it).

Works for me.

not at all. i only got a g35 coupe wheel that fits over my bbk (so for other people they only need a spare). on city driving i don't bring it with me at all, but on long trips, i put the spare wheel in the trunk with ease (and other luggages)

I have been driving the SC with non-runflats without a spare for a few years already, I don't drive this car too far out of town anyway, so I just rely on CAA.
