Default just when I thought I was out. . . . . .they pull me back in.

So I thought I had licked the bug. I was free. I missed my boosted beast but I didn't miss its electrical gremlins. I'd see an sc and be like "oh, nice sc" or "wow that needs wheels" or whatever.

I had moved on. I got a family car instead of another project. I was going to be a grown up and get a 335 not modded to the hilt for a fun car. I thought I had escaped the pull of the best combination of sexy, smooth, performance, rarity, luxury, name recognition and reliability this side of the nsx. But alas I have not.

And then I saw a super clean body sc for sale cheap with a decent exhaust. It needs an engine and a 5 speed swap, but my buddy in my neighborhood can do all that for cases of beer.

Thing is, I know nothing about the five speed swap.

I mean bottom line, can I source all the parts for a five speed swap for under say 1500? Solid parts not junk. I've already started looking for junker five speeds that I can raid.

But from the guys who have done this, how much of a headache is it? I'm hoping for voices of experience. I know I know, search. And I will read the five speed swap threads. But I wanted my own to solicit some opinions from my former and potentially future brothers in arms. I miss this place.
