New headlamps?
So im tired of buffing my headlamps every month and the nasty condensation just ruins the look of the car. I dont want to open them to buff the inside, plus i want to get an hid kit soon wich i hear are awful with our stock projector. I read a thread here on 2000 headlamps with better projectors. Does anyone know which places to buy them and get a good deal? i see them on carsontoyota for 405 each, should i go with them?

HID's might solve the problems, might not. Even if you do install them, I will still say that you will see the fine particles on the lens itself. I say take them apart and buff those lens cover and the lens on the projector itself, reseal, then install the HID's. Anything over 6K will be useless, due to the projectory of the lens itself. This is my personal experience with them. After I did this, it was completely night and day difference. I also say buy the 55 Watt Ballast's, not the standard 35 watt. Much brighter IMO. I bought mine off of Ebay and they come with a 3 year warranty, for less than 75 shipped to the door. GL, in your choice.

A relay is used to provide power directly from the battery. The wiring on our cars is old, so a plug and play hid kit can potentially fry the stock wiring. A relay is only a few bucks and isn't that hard to wire in as an added precaution.

I have many relays for things n my car, like the IACV, Ignitor, fuel pump, AEM, etc, but never for lighting. Maybe I need to look into this and run the remote turn on from the stock wiring, to trigger the relay on.

just wanted to do what this guy did https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...-off-line.html
,i want to make sure i get the right parts he says 97+ have better projectors, i dont think buffing mine will get this result so i thought it would be the best direction to go in. also would like to know if anyone else has bought these for older models and how much difference it makes?
