I'm back, I never was gone but I am officially back!
I sold my first SC early last year because I wanted to start riding again so I purchased another street bike. I was contemplating about keeping the SC because I put so much money and time into building it, it was nearly done. Not exactly, both you and I know projects are never-ending and it continues and we are never satisfied. But it was putting a big hole in my pockets and I had to constantly do work on it because it was not boosting at its full potential. I sold the car to a fellow member here and he figured out all the bugs and the car runs like a beast after he did additional more work to it.
Since I sold the car, I still visited the forums to see who was building what? Who had sold their SC's? Who had wrecked their SC's. What was selling in the Classifieds. You know your hooked when you frequently visit the classifieds even if you didn't own a SC.
So I picked up a 92 hard-top 5spd in Feb, just like my first but this was Jade Green with pristine interior for a fair price. I been building it slowly, cuz I had got laid off and funds didn't allow me to do much.
So far I dropped in a NA/T kit, needs to be tuned. I am thinking about doing the TT ECU mod when I have the $$$ saved up, funds don't allow me too now. Did some maintenance work, changed out the seals when the motor was out. Changed out the taillights, Dropped it on some coilovers and got some new XXR 531's. I had the wheels since May before I left the country, when I got back I didn't have enough money for tires .
Now that I found some work the build is back up, I recently acquired some tires and had the wheels mounted. The rims were sitting in my bedroom too long staring at me begging to be mounted. The day finally came yesterday . After going threw 2 sets of lugnuts, both did not fit the lugnut hole so I cruised down to the local tire shop to pickup a set. I know the car needs to be lowered more but its rubbing a little now, I need narrower tires up front and some camber. Body modifications and some fuel work in the near future. I need to take more pics but heres a few from my phone.
My first build, 92' DPW 5spd 1.5JZ

I like the newer one alot better. Not saying the other one was bad. I like reading how it seems that everyone always comes back. Good to see ya, hopefully back for good.
