Should I buy this SC400?

Then again, if it is IMMACULATE, it might be worth $5,500. On older cars, miles don't scare me as much as how the car was cared for. My 92 SC300/5 speed had 61,000 on it when I bought it last year, no door dings, immaculate leather, everything worked, it looked like a 1-2 year old car. I paid a good bit more than $5,500 BTW.

From the pics it looks super clean. Body lines up perfectly, glossy paint, beautiful engine bay (almost showroom condition) and the interior looks amazing, especially the wood grain. I have to agree with some of the other posts regarding rubber suspension components & the timing belt. Those are issues that will have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. For that reason alone I believe price should be negotiated. But I would purchase it & catch up on those items. Knowing how great these cars drive in perfect condition, it is absolutely worth it. Get a carfax & a DMV report to ensure the car's true history before even making an offer on this ride. Hope it all checks out in your favor! Good luck!
