Bucket Seat Head Room
First I'd like to start of by saying that I'm 6'5" and have a sun roof SC so I have literally no head clearance what so ever. I figure removing the head liner when gutting the car will give me an additional 1/2 tops. My concern is that wearing a helmet in the car will pose some issues moving forward. I've searched these threads looking for info on running the Bride Lo Max seats with the low profile seat rails, but could not find much. Do any of you have this seat/rail set up in your SC and can you post some pics? I'm looking for a Bucket seat option so anything helps.

I have no experience with Bride seats or aftermarket rails but I can tell you the the stock SC seats are fairly tall-- like an LS400/430/460's seats. I've switched to MKIV Supra seats and they are certainly lower. I don't know how much lower the Brides would sit but you will have a significant increase in clearance just with the drop-in MKIV's. For what it's worth, I am 5ft-8in.

i run a bride zeta3 with type fo or fm or fs or fi or some sorta seat rails. I had it on the middle height setting but w/ a helmet, the helmet was touching the headliner, so I've moved it down to the lowest. It's an okay fit now, but I'm 6', so I'm not sure how clearance for you'd be.

I'm 6'7" and I found out the the Corbeau A4 and the CR1 will the the tall guys very well and if you aren't going to be tracking your car they are perfect. They recline which is a very convenient feature and they will also sit very low. I also know that if you pair it with super low rails or bolt it to the floor (if you're going to be the only driver) you can expect even more head and leg room.
Here's a link to the A4:

This is great news, was almost thinking about scrapping my car and looking for a chassis I could actually fit in. (Not Really though) I'm looking at the Bride reclinable buckets because I think they offer both the comfort and feel im looking for with the high side walls. Please post pics, I'd like to see some set ups.
