Combine Supra and SC seats?
has anyone combined the Supra seats with the SC seats?
basically having supra seats with all the power adjustables..
I want to have the sporty bolstering and feel of the supra seats, with all the luxury of the SC

the supra seats are plug and play. as in your drivers seat will still have power adjustments. but the passenger won't because the supras don't. also sc seats weigh about 3 metric tons and supra seats do not.

A Supra MKIV driver's seat is 37-40lbs if I recall correctly. An SC/Soarer driver's seat with all power features, memory and heating elements is somewhere in the vicinity of 80lbs.

well I have planned for weight removal elsewhere, its just that sporty look and bolstering that I want from the supra seats.
I haven't sat in a MKIV supra so I don't know, but the general consensus I have read has been that the seats aren't that comfy for longer trips. and I know from my MR2 Turbo that those seats aren't as comfy as the Soarers.

I recently drove 2800 miles from California to Florida in my MKIV seats and I found them plenty comfortable. I'm sure there are some sportscars with better seats today but there is nothing uncomfortable about these for long trips. The SC seats on the other hand wore me out on some trips in addition to having no bolstering on the sides, poor lumbar support (I find the MKIV buckets have superior fixed lumbar support) and a seating position that is a bit too high for a sports GT.

Supra seats aren't that good... esp when they get older.... Driving around town/long trips isnt bad, but once you start spirited driving, good luck! I now have Evo 9 Recaro's in mine
