Life of my sc300 (plenty of pics provided)
I'm pretty new here and decided to start a thread on the life of my sc, this isn't so much of a build as its just something that I could look back on and see what my cars been through. Also any issues that come up would be posted here to find help in resolving them. I've got a 99 sc300 and couldn't be any happier.
Heres a list of pictures with what's already done to the car
19" mrr hr5 staggered/concave wheels
Twin turbo supra calipers
Drilled rotors
Carbon fiber wrapped B pillars
HKS damper coilovers
Took out the seats and cleaned them with purple power, carpets, door panels and all.
So I was washing my car and noticed my headlight was fogging up =/ I think I should just get a new one cuz the tabs broken on it anyways, unless I can find a headlight for parts that I could use to repair mine, if anyone has a headlight for sale or anything it would be alot of help. Thanks
For some reason these always make me happy, install tonight
So basically I hated the look of the stock lights for the license plate, just so dull and yellow, bought some white led bulbs for them and it looks good, much brighter too!
A little update, got her all clean got a new set of hids coming in because mine flicker and are starting to go bad, also ordered a new O ring for the vvti cam gear because its got a leak. Working on picking up a new set of headlights right now. I will update this once I receive some parts.
Bought a new set of headlights to fix my broken tab issue and condensation, Hids did come in but after I installed them they didn't work and my old ones don't work now either, something broke, the low beams just don't work, I will be checking relays today because the fuses are fine, it's just odd that high works but low doesnt.
Figured it all out, the ballasts on my hid kit went out so I put the stock bulbs in for now until I can buy a new hid kit
The car just got a photo shoot, when I get the pics back ill upload them for you
My friend helped me debadge the sc300, we tried to do the Lexus emblem too but later found out there's holes behind it to hold the emblem in place.
My fog lights didn't work but it didn't bother me much, eventually I decided why not let's have a look, fixed them, just needed new bulbs and a good cleaning
My wheels had some clear peeling on them, got some aircraft remover and started taking off the clear, since my wheels are two tone I didn't want to take off the black so I used the aircraft remover on everything but near wear the black is. Ill be finishing them by hand and then polishing and reclearing, this will be a long project but in the end these wheels should look beautiful.
Finished wet sanding up to 2500 grit! They look good but still want to use compound and get a better shine.
Here's some more shots from the photoshoot
Finished the wheels!
I've got some pretty bad front camber wear so had to find tires, can't seem to find a camber kit, if anyone has a link that'll be great!
Can't wait for may 25th! Who else is going?

Nice looking car! Looks just like my new one.
Did you take off the outter B-pillars to wrap them? Mine are peeling and I'm trying to figure out how to take 'em off, but the only DIY's I could find say that you have to peel them off of the door?

Your best choice is taking them off so that you can wrap around to the back of it for a better hold, this way they shouldn't peel I'm the future
