I remember your articles. VERY helpful information there and I'd like to thank you for those.
On S-cars: I came to my SC from a Prelude so I considered either car a step up. I wanted a clean, stock looking S14 with an SR20 but moving to Cali I just couldn't justify it for reasons of legality and not wanting to be hassled by the law.
I personally like S13 coupes with the JDM front end and all S14's. As long as they are turbocharged. And running perfectly with A/C. And in a state that doesn't have emissions. Damn you Nissan for crippling that car.
It may upset the weight balance but it's still an RB26DETT in a 2800lb chassis. 240's are not bad cars. Other than riced out examples driven by immature kids they are even stylish.
I think it comes down to what is valued more in a performance car. The SC is a muscle coupe cruiser and the 240 (SR20DET swapped only) is a nimble cheap sports car without any focus on luxury-- and rightly so.
Maybe the S-chassis hasn't aged as well with flex and rattling.
