Head Light Restore [Lots Of Pics]
I figured I would re-do them again with pictures this time. This is using the Meguiars Heavy Duty kit.
There is dirt and crud on the interior of the head light lens and fog lights (there is physically dirt in there, you'll see) so I give them a 8/10 on restore from what they were before.

You can see the dirt reflecting off the inside of the housing:

Looks great. I have to clean/sand mine every 6 months or so to keep them in great condition. I highly advise people to do the same. It's also important to align your HID/bulb lights. I had a friend who hooked up his HID's last year and never truly aligned them properly. Needless to say, they were practically pointed to the ground like fogs for a year! I helped him align them properly and he couldn't believe the obvious improvement lol.

Thank you all. I had to align my housings due to the cut off being right in peoples mirrors. I've got them pointed now to where that will hit right below a normal ride height car's mirrors at about 20 feet. I had to discover the hard way that the bulbs can be rotated wrong in my last car.
I use invisible aerosol glass cleaner to keep the lights lubricated as it removes any crud while you're sanding.
The polish, I apply with my hand (yes, that's right, no applicator pad) and rub it around the head light. Wipe my hand off and then buff the polish out with the drill head.
I did this several times, but I could have done much more with the right amount of time.
There is a head light protectant that they include with it that I recommend adding back on after every car wash just to keep it up but a good rule of thumb is when you detail for the month that you should touch it up.
Here is another with a little more light:
As far as the kit, it's available at Meguiars or Advance Auto / Auto Zone.

TechGreek, have you done retrofit on your projectors? I'm just wondering because mine doesn't have cut off lines even after I detailed the headlights a few months ago... Because if there's supposed to be cut off lines even on stock projectors then mine is way out of alignment...LOL

Nice, I did mine as well but didnt wet sand them. I used an extreme cut of compound. I didnt polish it afterwards though. how long does the polish protect it for before going back. ?
