Roof Rack Option
Hi all, I bought a roofrack for the Soarer.
It's an universal inflatable one, what do you guys think?
I am due to be buying a roof 'box' (Actually a large waterproof bag) by the same company [pics to follow]
It holds up to 80 Kilos (5kg more than the universal Thule ones) and deflates into a shoebox sized package (Including the pump)
Ideal for surf boards, skis, snowboards (Which I'll mainly be using it for) but can also hold canoes and other large items.
As far as I could hear, it made no extra wind noise on the car either.
It's not aligned perfectly since I couldn't be bothered today.
The rear rack is as far back as is possible, but the front one could even go another 5 or 6 inches forward over the windscreen if needed.
The only thing I haven't been able to test is how much rain will come in through the door seals where it attaches. I'm sure a ghetto mod could fix this though.

So does mine, but I usually go boarding with my girlfriend and mate, sometimes 2 mates which makes it very awkward to carry boards in the back.
Also when surfing, you can just throw your wet boards on the rack and not worry about soaking your leather.
I'm looking forward to the camping trips since I will be able to comfortably take 4 people on road trips, and take a decent amount of equipment. It just helps the Soarer to be a better 'Sports Tourer'
