it's an easy part to check and clean so no reason NOT to pull it and clean it in case that is the issue.

I got an an exhaust before i went turbo and i stopped getting egr codes

I've had my EGR code on for almost 3 years now coming in June and my idle does not get lower and lower once I turn the car on. If your idle is getting lower and lower the way you say it is, it might be a different problem with the SC. You could always try and check with the EGR valve first and then see if the idle problem goes away.
