Default 2 "ecu" part numbers for the same year? 1993 sc400

I am trying to buy a used "ecu" for my 93 sc400 and I am coming up with two different part numbers.

89661-24240 and 89661 24230?

Are both of these parts interchangable as they both say they are for the 93 sc400?

I want to be sure before I go out and waste more money.

Thanks guys!!!!!!

They also change from cali cars to just fed cars. I know just yesterday I tried an ecu with a different number than mine but was from the same year and it was a no go. From reading around I think traction control makes a difference in which ecu you can use as well. The yard I got my ecu from let me get a full refund if I returned it the same day so if your going to a salvage yard you could always try that.

I believe my non-Cali 93 SC400 uses the 24240 version. The best way to ensure you get the right one is to check the number on the ECU already in the car. I too bought a used replacement vice spend $2,400 for a new one. I bought a spare and plugged it in but got a traction control error ... so I returned it.

Also you could always have the one you already have rebuilt. Most places offer lifetime warranties or at least some type of warranty. It's more than buying a used one but if you plan on having the car a while could be worth it. A place down the street from me does it for $300-$400 forget how much exactly.
