This is a common issue with rear wheel drive cars. Few things you can do to help curve the heat. Put an external transmission cooler on and insulate the trans tunnel some more.

It may be normal but its irritating especially on long trips.

I feel heat coming into the car from behind the e-brake book there is a hole does anyone else have a hole there?

Yeah, pretty much everything associated with the center console will get hot.

That hole is for E-brake cable adjustment.

I was having the same heat issue from the tunnel and used this product http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/...diant-Heat-Mat from Verocious Motorsports. It was a night and day difference. My tunnel had to be cut for the V160 so any holes I found I taped the shield over. I also lined inside the console area. Sorry I didn't take any pics, quickGS300 can vouch for this stuff too.

Good find...
I'm still debating over Dynamat vs Lizardskin.
But the Verocious heatshield products seem cheaper.

I dont think that Verocious will give much, if any, sound reduction.
