so I came across this today...
http://www.auto-hub.com/stardrive_pu..._ignition.html
this is the same system used in the Nissan Altimas. There is no need for a key which seems to be everyones main problem with this setup. The price is pretty steep, but I am definitely considering it.

cut the starter wire in half to start with. now take the car side of the cut wire and put it on the 87 side of relay.make 30 constant 12volts.make 86 a negative ground.make 85 ignition feed.this will make your button work only with the key in the run position.no key no start. now.Now also i have a way where the same way as above but like newer cars using the brake pedal.using another relay make 30 and 86 negative ground.find the wire that turns positive(12volt) when brake pedal is pressed down.note;this wire should only turn 12 volts positive when brake pedal is pressed down and should turn off when released............make that wire once found to 85 on relay #2.now make 87 out which will be your new ground(negative)out to the first relay you built.remember to disconnect relay#1 ground as relay#2 is replacing its ground.hit me back and tell me it worked out just fine.later

haha thanks. I found this after someone put it up on a grand prix forum. I would like to look into the feasibility of replacing the ignition (key hole etc.) with the button to give it a much more factory appearance and to replace a useless key hole. I think it would look great replacing a useless vol **** too though.
