hey lex400sc,
i was thinking about getting the same setup! i'm thinking of totally re-doing my car; body kit, rims, tv, etc. but i don't know what offset to get for the front and rear? i've read many many posts, but i'm thinking 42 front and maybe like 38 rear for the lip? am i wrong?

I *think* i'm at +41 all around, otherwise i'm at ~38 up front and ~44 in the rear, can't remember exactly. 18x8.5" - 245x40x18 up front and 18x9.5" 275x35x18 in back
You HAVE to go staggered, SCs don't look right with the stock wheels they came with, too much empty space.
and as for tire rotation, just get kumhos and you won't have to worry about the cost $$$ I still have a lot of tread left after a year of driving (except on the inside due to a bad alignment job).

Agreed... the SC wheels look sucked-in on
the rear if you run the same width all the
way around. For my future-SC, I just completed:
19x9 HRE 546R +35 2.0" lip
19x10 HRE 546R +35 3.0" lip
Now if I can just find a clean silver 97-98 SC400
to put them on... I've been searching since January!

19x9 won't rub with a one inch drop so long as your front tires are under 255mm wide. If you want a deal on the HREs, Lee from Wheel Experts is the guy to talk to. I think he's currently running a special on certain HRE wheels.
