Default Ready for TURBO!

Imaging...
Until 2 months ago, before I found out about this forum, this car was FULLY stock since the day I bought it, back in '95!

now... installed... HID kit, MAF adapter with K&N filter, Greddy MX Exhaust, Tokico Shox, Eibach Pro kit, 18' wheels, Denso IR Spark plugs, 8.5 Magnecor wires, MSD 6BTM, and a full tune-up.

Still waiting for... my turbo. It has been 1 month since I've ordered. Danny at Toyomoto said that he is still waiting for the turbo and racegate from Turbonetics before he can ship the kit to me.

btw, thanks Lex Luther for the Headlamps! they look great!

Oh, notice the new wax Job?

NP on the lamps brother, spent many hours polishing them. Are those Voxx MGR? Very classy, Renaissance Red is by far the hottest colour for SC's...oops, that's my colour!

Mudvayne,
The Eiback Pro Kit drops about 1 or 1.5 inch. With the 18" wheels, the handling is great! Although it is a little stiffer than stock, it is worth the trade-off. Since I'm in CA and the roads are quite smooth, I can hardly feel the dumps when I drive, but I can definitely notice the handling when I take those corners. awesome!

Lex,
Thanks again for the headlamps. As for the wheels, they are MasItaly which is exactly the same as the Voxx MGR. You are right.. the Renaissance Red does look nice esp. after it is washed and waxed.

awj, thanks!

what kind of wheels are those, and did you order the stage 1 or the 1.5 kit?

That is one of the classiest Lexus colors around IMO. Looks a lot like Cinnabar Pearl. There's a guy in my town Selling his 92 SC400, same color. It looks gorgeous! Anyway, that's a nice ride and nice rims.

Mudvayne, why spend money on 17s??? $1500-2000 for a one inch gain? Go a minimum of 18-inch! 19s if you can!!!

i dunno i was lookin at my car earlier and thought maybe 18's would look too big on the car. and the ride quality too. but then again ur right about spending money on 17's might as well go 18's.

im lookin for a mesh design type rim. cant find any that are that great, maybe im just not looking hard enough. my price range is aroun 1700. anyone know a good place that sells tire/rim packages?

Before you buy anything, I urge you to consult the wheel gurus at the CL Wheel Forums. Manaray, SoCalSC4, gs4will, Wheel Kinetics, lee2375, et al...

Here's some GOOD wheel sites...

http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/
http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp
http://www.gtautosports.com/wheelint.htm
http://www.wheelkinetics.com/
http://www.wheeloptions.com/wheel/wheel.html
http://www.wheelexperts.com/index2.html
http://www.work-wheels.co.jp/wheels/index/

If you want CHEESEY wheel sites, I can recommend those too, but I wouldn't *recommend* them per se
