I bought an 2001 RX300 airbag today for a killer deal, but the "L" emblem on the bag is flaking/chipped. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Painting maybe?

Couple of ideas for you.....One: you could go to a junk yard and look for the hubcap emblems from I believe any of the Lexus cars with factory rims and remove that and place it where your chipped one is right now. They should be the same size or real close. Some are larger and smaller than others so it might take a few times or you might find the right one the first time. Two: you could pop that one out with like a scribe and repaint it chrome or black or whatever color you wish. Might want to put some goo gone all around the emblem since it might be held there with 3M tape. Three: You might be able to get another chrome emblem off of ebay if you search for Lexus emblems I believe that fit many of the 2000+ Lexus airbags. The only downside is it may be a bit expensive. Here is my emblem that i got at the junkyard and put on my airbag in my SC.

Repaint or buy a new one. I just got one from a CL member for a little more than half what it goes for on ebay
