i like the way it looks! looks pretty nice and clean..but one thing you might want/need to know..is that you cant offer your skills like that for sale. you can give the tutorial, but thats about it. fyi...good job though!

I beliee you used pine as the wood? Looks like it anyway. I would use a much better grade of wood, smooth it to a super fine finish, and then finish it with the highest quality of stains and varnish that is then sanded to make it look like it was a piece of fine hand made wood.I would also add a beveled edge at the bottom where it screws in to cover up that area of the shaft.

sc400tt, i only used pine becasue thats what i had lying around. i wanted to do this project for as 'free' as i could get it to be. i only bought wood stain to do it.
what type of wood should i use for my next couple of shift *****? im going to have a little lineup where i can switch shift ***** for my style.
whats the heaviest type of wood that can be stained to match sc's does anyone know?
cuz this one is pretty light.

hey guys. sorry for the long wait for the pics. i just got my car fixed a couple days ago and had a FEW problems getting that ugly shift **** off the stick (u can see it in my sig kinda...)
finally got it though. the color matching is pretty good. i guess the mahogany was a solid choice btw that shift boot is a diy as well. im trying to keep it like that for most of my interior mods.
(i really need a better camera, zoomed in from a far distance on these as well )
dont mind my steering wheel, im rewrapping it.
if u guys wanna kno wats dangling from my mirror, heres a close up.
now all i need is a wooden e brake handle and a baggy boot and im good
