Hey guys i have a question.. I was recently informed that Work will be releasing a 19 inch variation of their CR-Ultimate wheels and that's what i'm planning on getting. I know the 9.5 on the front will work easy, and i want to get either the 10.5 or 11 on the rear, but don't know what offset i should use.. I'm going to be getting a pretty good deal on the wheels, but have to know the sizes before i can order. Any ideas on what offsets to use to allow an aggressive fitment? I plan on rolling the fenders and applying slight negative camber, but would rather not pull the fenders.... although sexiness does come with a cost. lol
10.5 +32 should need just a roll and camber.
the others will fit with more camber or a pull.

i have been dreading posting in here but the day has come. Ok i've bought a set of 18 x 10 wheels with an offset of +25 but eventually will run a spacer on to clear the LS4 brakes so the offset would change to at least +15 or lower, the fender mods i'm fine with as i've studied post #4444 and even saved it to my iphone lol thanks Raine.
My question now is tire size. I have been leaning toward a 235/40 in the front and a 265/40 in the rear but i feel they not work. I've noticed a lot of people are going 30 series tires so maybe that's the direction i'll go in.
I'm not afraid of camber and I want a light stretch I hate chunky tires.

OK I plugged your proposed tire size and compared it to my current tire setup (rear tire) just so you can get an idea about how chunky-or not the tire will be. So you're going to have to look at my car pics to get a visualization since I'm basing all of this post in reference to my rear tire setup. Make sense? KAY
First is on 265/40:
The "sidewall height" part is what you have to take a look at - the sidewall height on 265/40-18's is over an inch taller (chunkier) than my 265/30-19's. More importantly, the overall tire diameter is also over an inch taller. So basically what you have is a tire on 18's that is overall bigger and chunkier than my 19's. A 265/40-18 would not fit my car as is because it would rub everywhere. No bueno.
On a 265/35-18, the sidewall is about 1/2-inch taller, but look at the overall diameter - a mere 0.04-inches difference. So a 265/35-18 would fit my car practically the same as my current 265/30-19's; the sidewall of the tire might be a tad larger, but it would fill out the wheel well just like 19's.
Finally, for kicks I tried a 255/35-18 just to see the numbers. I'd lose roughly almost 1/2-inch of tire on the ground (width) and the overall diameter will be about 1/4-inch smaller on 18's. Not bad, but the 265/35-18 setup is much closer to my 19" current setup.

im getting 18X8 with a 40MM offset and i was wandering if these would fit flush. and if it would have any rubbing even if i turned the wheel all the way, i really don't want to use wheel spacers but finding 50MM offset rims that look good is difficult i really don't understand how offset works because i have read threads where people say anything below 35MM offset will cause a ****ty ride but there are posts in here that say they have like 20 or lower offset and they love the ride so what is it that im missing?

Not sure where you read what you read, but offset doesn't affect ride at all - what it does affect is how the wheel is positioned in the wheel well. Less offset = wheel goes out towards the body more, higher offset = wheel goes in towards the chassis more.
Offset alone doesn't make a ride feel crappy - but too much negative (low) offset + a super wide wheel + stupid camber + super stupid stretched tires = yeah, that can ride crappy. LOL
As long as your car isn't slammed down, yeah a roll should be all you need up front; same with the rear as long as you stretch a little on the tire size... something around 255-265/35

18x8+40 up front will be sunken in almost like stock, more sunken in if you're lowered on coilovers. 18x8+40 rear will be even more sunken in no matter what you do ride height-wise.
Not sure where you read what you read, but offset doesn't affect ride at all - what it does affect is how the wheel is positioned in the wheel well. Less offset = wheel goes out towards the body more, higher offset = wheel goes in towards the chassis more.
