One thing, i have this typical " SC " issue. But what worries me is, Will the hinge be able to support our heavy doors with 1 bolt missing?

as the hinge wears out the clearance is getting larger and the door starts rubing agains the fender, there is a round colar goes around the hinge that you remove the bolt from allowing the door to clear the fender.short time fix ,your door will sill sag

No door sag ever for me thankfully and 4 yrs later still no popping since I removed the piece that pops. Been great ever since. That was '06 and it's about to be '10.

Default Door Sag

I found the "U" bracket on the door by the handle was loose. Two loose screws and one missing. Just tightening the two made the door easier to close and it now lines up nicely. Need to get off my a-- and get the third screw.

This also controls the open door function, at least on my car. When I did this, popping went away, but the door will no longer stay open. Great idea, but not working for me. My GF is tiny and the door alomost killed her. lol. I am going to try it at half mast (inserting longer bolt part way) and see if I can find a medium where popping goes away and function is restored.

Anyone try using a longer bolt and threading it half way to find the middle ground?

I removed the bolt also. The door will not stay open as he said above. The sc door is heavy also. So that is not good.

Can Anyone explain how to take off the hinge and grind it polish it to stop popping but also have the feature of it holding the door open?
