Only solid number I've heard is a relative percentage: 5%
That means there's 1 5spd for every 19 automatics ever produced.
Way I see it is most of the 5spds are driven by enthusiasts/sporty drivers.
This tells me that the 5spds are more likely to get into a crash that would retire the vehicle.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is only a fraction of the originally manufactured 5spds on the road today.
Just speculating.

My brother and I own 2 5 speed Soarers. My cousin's friend owns a black 5-speed, my cousin owns an auto and his dad had an AT as well.
they're not as rare as you think they are. I guess it depends on the region you're from.*Beers for manual Sc300s*

I've searched here, google, yahoo, etc..... And it seems that a couple of sites say that they were about 1400-1600 made. Is this true? If so, I own a rare car because the amount of them that are still drivable must be 1200 now, maybe even under 1000. That is if this is true. Anyone know the right amount? If so, due tell.

It would be interesting to know how many 5-Speeds(of each color), were allocated to dealers here in the states. There has to be info somehwere. I'm gonna ask the Allocation guru at the Lexus Western Area in Irvine on this month's Ride and Drive (LS460 )
I sure would like to know how many 1993 Graphite Metallic 5MT SC300's (With no Moonroof and Cloth Interior combo) are out there. I have a feeling that this combination is just as rare as the 97 RSP on Black 5MT's.
