Targa Top Sc
Hey was up to all of you, during lunch today i was siting down looking at my car, when an idea poped into my head, i have seen lambo doors,body kits, an convertabales but i hav never seen a TARGA TOP SC any one has any ideas or any input or knows anywhere that could pull this off please feel free to post it. thanks. then the SC an the SUPRA well really be brothers.

Properly done it will make the car heavier.
Don't forget it will reduce chassis strength and increase body flex.
Also the doors have frames that close flush with the roof. You'd have to cut the doors, too. Then the part you cut off needs to be welded to the targa top that you'd make from the chunk you removed. The windows would never seal the same again after that. Imagine the SC door with the upper frame removed -- the a and b pillars remaining. It would look horrendous, like a U-shape. There's no way in hell that would ever look right.
It's either a complete rig, or a VERY expensive project if you do it right. If you are dying for this, just get a Supra or some other car that was designed for one.
Even the Supra targas leak, squeak and rattle -- and those are factory.

Targas are notorious for flying off, usually at 'upper' highway speeds.
Imagine paying thousands to get this done and then missing the latch that one time.
Bye bye thousands of dollars.
I say leave it.
If I had a choice, I'd have a hard-top. (Easier to do than targa)
