Recommendations for leather seat repair and leather dye color product
I have a 92 SC400. I've tried to keep everything OEM on the car. Car looks great but dam, my driver side seat looks like crap. I don't want seat covers. I thought about custom leather seat covers but don't like the idea of that either (still seat covers although some look very nice and almost like factory)
My question is, do you guys have any recommendations on what leather dye company does the best color matching? I've got that rare Pearl Jade 6m2 (the dark green exterior with light green interior) and it's so hard to find oem seats to purchase. I'm thinking about repairing these seats that have huge holes but didn't know who was recommended for a color dye company and also who is recommended for the actual leather repair kits. I'm a DIY and have no problem putting in the work (I know it'll be a lot with these seats that are in rough shape). Thanks

Honestly I would just let it go and buy some different/aftermarket seats. You could get them professionally reupholstered but it still wouldn't be Lexus OEM, and, I don't know about you, but that would bother me. I am planning on buying Sparco R100 seats eventually. They look really good, they're fairly cheap($600/set), and they weigh 68lbs less than the OEM seats.

Before you order anything online go down to a professional shop and see how much they'll charge. I was quoted $1200 and it included arm rests on the doors, shifter, center console, e-brake boot, front/back seats. Everything but the steering wheel... That's labor and materials.

I will call the insurance companies about their salvage vehicles and ask them where they are auctioning their cars in your state and go bid on them .
Just this past week I got 3 SC300s . I got them for their interiors, front / rear / fog lights , bumper grille and their low mileage blocks / cranks for my builds . Sold all the rest on craigslist , got back my money and got all my parts free !
I got the 3 Sc300s for an average of $850 each . Your local craigslist is your best bet to sell what you don't need since many won't be allowed to part out here . And at the end of the day you got great OEM parts free of charge .

Thansk foe the recommendations on the leatherseats.com site. I definitely wouldn't want sparco racing seats as that would take the car too away from the oem look in trying to accomplish.
