LH Window Glass Fitment
1993 Lexus SC400 V8, NA
Had some vandalism last night.
Pellet gun left LH (Driver's) window glass in a million pieces.
It is only held in place now by window tint film.
I'm finding conflicting internet information on what glass from other years will properly fit.
Is it unique to 93-94? Some recycle yards are claiming that glass from 92-99 will all properly fit.
If I ask the recycle yards, they are certain to say "sure it fits" then it's my problem to ship back if it doesn't fit (if I can even return it at all).
I know I can get a straight answer here.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Also, any suggested sources for glass other than ebay & recycle yards ?

They'll all fit, but somewhere along the line (mid-'94, I think), the regulator rail changed and the glass became a bit taller. Something like half an inch to an inch. You'll think the install went perfectly until you roll the window down and realize it sticks up slightly when all the way down...
There are also two different factory tints, but I'm not sure if they are specific to years or what.

Thanks for reply, appreciate the help, but I'm still confused.
If the Lexus P/N covers a number of model years (I believe it is 68102-24120), shouldn't it be the exact fit for all of them?
Not to be a PIA, but what model years do I need to concentrate on to find the correct fit for my '93?

It's probably a matter of the new part superseding the old one and Lexus feeling they were close enough and compatible in fitment to not matter. That or even they didn't realize they changed it. It's a very under-documented thing on the forums and ebay.
'92-93 should definitely be a match. '94 is iffy because of the mid-year changeover on a number of such things. My car is an early '94 and the '95 windows are taller.
