Should I leave the SC and go to an LS

If you can keep the SC and get the LS as a family car. I do not have a LS430 but I have an 01 GS300. Much smoother ride and more space in the in the GS but I love my SC more, especially since I boosted it.
Your SC has low miles keep it until you can get it boosted. Good luck on your decision.

The SC is my "once a week" and sometimes weekend fun car but the LS430 is the daily driver and what a pleasure it is.
If you can keep both great but if you can not an LS430 is an awesome ride and quite affordable. Not sure in your situation an LS460 is the right fit and the GS's are just too small and not much of a step up from an SC except for the 4 doors.
The idea above about a GX470 is not a bad compromise but are more expensive to drive than a 4Runner.
Tough decision no matter which way you go. Keep us posted on your choice...

Thanks for the input guys. The GX want a bad idea but as someone else mentioned it's paid for and I'm just starting to get it how I want it. Still debating. There is a 05 LS for sale locally with 103k miles and service records at the dealership. Might go check it out

As everybody mentioned, two different cars.
I've been around Lexus for many years, driven every single model except LF-A.
04-06 LS430 is a phenomenal car. I'd buy one in a heartbeat for a daily driver. It's like a vault inside. When you close the door, the outside world virtually disappears. Transmission is amazing, worlds better than the lazy SC300 4spd auto.
If you like having an SUV for family stuff, just get an LX470 or a 570 if you can afford it. GX is good too and perhaps will feel more at home since you are used to a 4Runner, but an LX will give you far more of that Lexus luxury car feel that you like because it's a larger frame and heavier. Much more solid feeling vehicle and a more user friendly rear gate design (in my opinion).
I vote get LX and keep the SC. The LS while a great car, is not exactly an ideal family car, no sedan is.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the replies. Yes I would totally agree that they are apples vs oranges. I currently have a 3rd 4Runner that is more of my Daily Driver since I like to mountain bike and traveling with a kid requires the space of an SUV. So, unfortunately I can't keep the 4Runner, SC and get a. LS although that would be a pretty nice group. As you can tell from the mileage on the SC, it doesn't get driven much and is mainly a weekend, sunny day, dont have need to take my son, car.
The thought behind a sedan is that since it is better equipped for a car seat, I would drive it more and enjoy it more. But I can't help to think I would regret getting rid of the SC. Decisions decisions.

Only reason I would sell the SC is if your 4 Runner is falling apart and isn't reliable/safe anymore, then I'd just buy one car more suited to your needs for now.

You might consider a GS300. Sportier than an LS and car seats still fit. You can do a 2JZGTE engine swap easily and even a manual tranny swap if you really want to.
I have an 2005 LS430 that I drive daily and I love it! I also have a boosted, 6 spd, 1997 SC300 that I hardly drive because of my two baby girls. I recently purchased a 1996 GS300 with 45,000 miles and I am planning a 2JZGTE swap with upgrades to suspension and brakes. Thus, I can have a turbo daily driver and still be able to transport my princesses.
Just a thought.
