Closing deal on a 98 MK4 TT

No plans for one since this car was extremely limited in production numbers for 1998.
Only doing bolt on mods since I can easily switch it all back to original form if need be.
I should be around 420+ hp after my bolt on mods which suits me perfectly fine. I am not tracking or racing this car by any means. It will have some very nice kick for me when I drive it down on Pacific Coast Highway or a little bit of canyon drivng.

The build is coming along great Juan.
The headlights came out great! I just picked up a second spare new set for mine last weekend in case they get discontinued. Parts are flying off left and right! Get all the OEM parts you might need while it's available.
Do those tires on the rears rub or have you not had the chance to test that yet?
And though I'm a huge V160 fan, I would definitely keep this one auto. Too much involved into swapping it with most parts discontinued. Not to mention the cost and like you said - the rarity factor. Good decision on keeping it BPU with easily reversible modifications!

My buddy who is doing the build owns a performance/wheel shop and been iin the aftermarket wheel game a long time.
He said I won't have issues with the fitment and if I did he would put the wheels back on the SC and order me another set.
I've already picked up some spare OEM parts just to have, ashtray box, speaker covers, and I'll buy a new of headlights also to store for later in case I end up needling them.

Is it me or are those tires "stretched"? It looks like the wheels are not the correct offset.

Same wheels and tires that were on my SC. There is absolutely no stretched tires.

Juan - what is the width and offset of the front and rear rims ? I guess what Steve is seeing is that the outer bead of the rim is well seen instead of being covered by the width of the tire which makes it looks stretched.
like on this picture , you see the outer bead of the rim .

What you see in that pic is not the outer bead of the rim but actually you are seeing part of the white lettering on the tires.
I've mentioned the wheel/tire sizes in the past but here they are again. 18x9 on 235/40/18 in the front and 18x10.5 on 275/35/18 in the rear.

I dont know what some people are saying, but the wheel fitment looks spot on to me. These wheels looked *****in' on the SC400, and the fitment is the same on the Supra
